Borussia Dortmund wants to retain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as long as possible. However, if there is a tempting offer that comes, they may just release the striker. Aubameyang played fantastic this season, scoring 20 goals in the Bundesliga. He was top scorer temporary, one-goal lead over Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski.

In other competitions, Aubameyang also productive. The Gabon international striker scored two goals in the DFB-Pokal and seven goals in the Europa League. If added together, the total tally reached 29 goals in 29 games this season. "I'm not worried about that because at the moment we want to keep it as long as possible," said Watzke.

Aubameyang, who recruited Dortmund from Saint-Etienne in 2013, is currently under contract until 2020.
