The former Bayern Munich player, Giovanni Elber, believes that the future of Brazilian football is currently at the foot of
Neymar and Douglas Costa. Two young players into the Selecao hope to wipe out the nightmare they experienced in the 2014 World Cup and the 2015 Copa America.
Giovanni Elber who in his prime had brought
Bayern Munich Champions League title in 2001 and defended Brazil 15 times, believes if Neymar and Costa would be a suitable partner in attack Brazil. Both are not a pure striker but can become a crutch fitting for another striker up front.
"I think that Neymar and Douglas could sharpen
the national team. They are both strong players and footballers streets. The player with the type like that are actually needed by Brazil. In the last World Cup we were too dependent on Neymar. He is expected to take a free kick and scored, but it is still not running. I remember that in the past Brazil has always had three or four players like Romario, Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Roberto Carlos while yesterday we only have Neymar, "said Elber.
While Costa who is now a Bayern player was asked by Elber to learn a lot of players Bayern Munich more senior, like Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery would have to be used properly by talented young players like Costa. "Douglas had to learn a lot of Ribery and Robben. He is still young and the two players is a very professional player. Douglas was able to fill the absence of Ribery with the good. "
